are the most important things in your life. The things that truly matter most to you. Do a mind sweep - what are those things you can't seem to live without? The things that make you tick, feel like your best self and really help you to THRIVE in life? Think of anything, the sky is the limit! Don't think surface things like "I can't live without chocolate" - haha girl, we've all been there - but that's not quite what we are talking about. Think about the things in life that really add to your happiness. For example; God, religion, children, spouse, nature, music, dance, friends/being social, being active/fit, health, etc. Find what makes you tick and write it down.
Think of planet earth - what's at the center of the earth? What makes it tick? The CORE of the earth! Right? That's where earth is truly alive and thriving! That's what we need to think of when we start creating our list of core values - find what truly makes you feel alive and thriving.

1. Mind sweep & journal out ALL your goals in the big 5 areas - physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual. Any goal or dream that comes to mind - write it out! Clear out the cobwebs to gain clarity with a mind sweep (aka a classier way to say brain dump:).
2. Set 1 goal in all "BIG 5" areas.
Make sure you really want to do whatever goals you set - because you will need to be consistent with it everyday. (Remember - how do you eat an elephant? One tiny bite at a time! So MICRO daily goals add up to help you achieve your yearly MACRO goals!)
3. Get to bed earlier & wake up earlier than you have done previously.
Golden hour of 5am is the ultimate goal! Work up to that goal by setting the alarm 10 min earlier everyday until you reach 5 am.
4. Set an alarm on your phone & don't hit snooze. Pro tip: Avoid hitting the snooze button by placing your phone on its charger in another room or across the room away from the bed - that way you have to walk to it to turn it off. Movement helps you wake up faster and stay awake. Try it consistently every day and you'll find yourself up for the morning instead of crawling back in bed.
5. Get up before your kiddos - If you are up before your kiddos - you will have time to pour into yourself before you pour into your kiddos. Just like giving food to the poor can't come from empty shelves...you have to take the time to stock it first. Now is your time to fill your bucket every morning with your morning routine so you can fill your family's buckets too! Strive to always give them the best version of yourself by taking care of you first!
6. Track your goals to turn them into habits. Write your goals down! Track them daily - cross them off as you go - notice the beautiful line of checkmarks in a row - that gives you momentum and motivation - it helps you to keep going when you see small wins along the way! So write your goals down in a place where you will see them all the time and consistently track/check them off everyday as you do them.
7. Consistency is key. Do your 5 goals consistently every day for 30 days straight. (it won't be perfect - remind yourself you are striving toward achieving the goal little bits at a time, one day at a time, not perfection). Once you have done a goal consistently for 30 days straight - it begins to turn into a habit, a daily routine - something that becomes a natural rhythm for your body to go through...this is when you know you have achieved success with your goals!

How to plan your entire year in 2 hours or less to make 2023 your best year ever!
1. Gather calendars (& other materials) - get your "mise* en place" (meaning gather all items together before beginning your deep work annual planning sesh).
Gather church, community, work, school, past family calendars, etc. Create a "deep work" space - clean area to work in, get a glass of water, start a diffuser or light a candle, grab your phone (google cal)/paper planner/12 month paper wall calendar, pens/pencils/highlighters, snacks, etc. Gather everything you need to make this a productive and successful planning session.
2. Keep core values in mind - (go back and listen to episodes 109 & 110 before this episode to help you decide your core values) - Don't overschedule, reflect on last year - what worked? what didn't? what events do you want to keep from last year and add to this years calendar, what events do you want to get rid of? what brought you and your family joy? what events added to the overwhelm? what made you feel like a hot mess? what made you excited and more present with your family? Only choose to calendar events that align with your goals/dreams/core values and are ones that truly Bring you joy.
3. Write down important dates in your paper calendar - go through each calendar and write down important dates in your 12 month wall calendar. Repeat this process for every calendar (church, school, work, family, community, etc). Remember - not every event needs to be transferred to your family calendar from the other calendars - only add events that align with your core values.
4. List important dates in your productivity planner - This is where your paper planner comes in handy! Take all important dates from your 12 month wall calendar and write them down on your "plan ahead" page in your HFM Productivity Planner. (or go to instagram - click on link in bio and get plan ahead page in our shop). Plan ahead page is your yearly planning page where you can see all your calendared events listed out on one single page! Game changer for planning your year!
5. Write down all events on your monthly calendar pages in your productivity planner - You will have everything you need at a glance to plan out your weeks and days from there. It makes it so much easier to figure out your weekly block schedule and today's schedules when you have a bigger picture of your goals and dreams in your monthly calendars and on your plan ahead page as well. Make life easier this year by planning ahead for less stress.
6. Add all events to google cal (or any digital calendar) - set the events in google cal, add spouse/kids to each event, (color code each family member if desired for peak organization), set reminders prior to each event to help you plan and prepare ahead of time for upcoming events.

110. Big goals & dreams for 2023? How to set & achieve your goals with my 3 step system to make 2023 your best year ever! (2 of 2 part series)
Goal setting for 2023 (2 of 2 part series)
1. Know the "WHAT": Narrow it down to top 3 priorities for 2023.
After you've done a mind sweep and categorized your goals and dreams into mini lists, then its time to narrow it down to your top 3 priorities for 2023.
Goal A.
Goal B.
Goal C.
2. Know the "HOW": List first steps under each priority.
Goal A. First step, second step, third step (1, 2, 3)
Goal B. 1, 2, 3
Goal C. 1, 2, 3
List a few action items under each main goal for 2023. Remember these are annual goals...not small daily goals.
So these are your wildly important goals, better known as your "WIGs". (This term was coined by FranklinCovey*)
3. Know the "WHY": Identify your "why" for each top priority.
Goal A - is important to me because...(define your why)
Goal B - define your why
Goal C- define your why
Your "why" behind your goals creates more motivation and determination to achieve your goals more than anything else. Find the passion behind why this goal is so important to you - better known as "defining your why". Do some journaling and deep work to make this happen. Spend some time on this. Be still, say a prayer, do what you can to really think through this step. And remember, "Don't lie on borrowed dreams, create your own".
